Excerpt:"iTunes connects to hip-hop radio
By Macworld staff
Two US hip-hop radio channels have integrated the iTunes Music Store into their websites: Power 106 (KPWR-FM, Los Angeles) and HOT 97 (WQHT-FM, New York). Hip-hop legend Jay-Z called the move "a big thing", adding: "What I love about it is 10-15 years ago...they said hip hop was a fad. And when you get something like this happening... It's an amazing thing!"
Hot 97 vice president Jimmy Steal explained how the integration works: "Listeners now have the ability to search, browse and buy all of their favourite Power 106 and HOT 97 songs directly from the iTunes Music Stores featured on our websites."
