LJDJ's Favorite Hip Hop Artist of the Week

Beyonce is Lady Jane DJ's favorite artist of the week. What can I say, Beyonce is the most beautiful Diva of the day. The many different ways that She uses Her voice are magical and create a new feeling when she wishes.

Beyonce's new video "Deja Vu" featuring Jay-Z is totally sexy. In this video Jay-Z stands against a wall and it appears, He pretends like it's no big deal to have Beyonce dancing near Him, but we all know that Beyonce has that man hooked. };0)~ HE, HE!

"Ring the Alarm" is another bad ass song off of Beyonce's new album B'Day. Her new album is all good.

Lady Jane DJ's Favorite Artist of the Week

Ali & Big Gipp are Lady Jane's favorite Hip Hop artists of the week. There new song "Go Head" is so phat. The beat is beautiful throught out and the lyrics are about watching a ladie's booty moving to the beat. How perfect is that? :0) My favorite lines in the song are, "I want all that booty in line so when the beat break down tow times, just grind, and if you bring a friend well that's fine"

Olivia from G-Unit is Lady Jane DJ's favorite artist of the week. When I first heard of and saw Olivia was at the Anger Management Tour Concert in Auburn, Washington at the White River Amphi Theatre, last summer. Olivia was introdued as The First Lady of G-Unit. When I saw Olivia perform she had a beautiful stage presense and seemed to fit right in with U-Unit.

Originally from Brooklyn, Olivia posses many talents, one of them being a breath taking voice as featured in the new video "Just Friends" with 50-Cent. She can be described as a cross between Janet Jackson and Beyonce. She is definetly a Diva.

His first album the Leprechaun has one creative album cover, featuring young Lil' Flip dressed as a leprechaun.

Lil' Flip first got my attantion with his song Game Over in 2004. This song features acrade game samples which I thought was briliant and I played that record till it couldn't take no more. Sunshine is one of the sweetest and cutest songs he has to romance the ladies with. I still bump this one.

Lady Jane DJ's Favorite Artist of the Week

The Ying Yang Twins are Lady Jane DJ's favorite artists of the week. The first time that the Ying Yang Twins got my attention was with the track "Get Low", with Lil' Jon. When I first pulled that record of off the shelf at the record store and listened to it I was hooked. Later I used "Salt Shaker" on my demo CD "Hip Butterfly." Then after listening to "The Nerve Calmer" and "Naggin'", Lady Jane DJ decided that the Ying Yang Twins were brilliant!

So on Spring Break, I'm crusin' by Corpus Christi, TX. Beach, with my Brother in his new ride enjoying the local Hip Hop station. All of a sudden, I hear the Ying Yang Twins on the radio giving their shout outs to Bun B. Then the "Git It Girl" beat from back in the day, drops! My mouth litterally dropped. I was like, no way, are you serious. I felt a shiver up the back of my spine. The song "Git It" by The Ying Yang Twins makes Lady Jane DJ very happy!

Lady Jane DJ's Favorite Artist of the Week

E-40 is Lady Jane DJ's favorite artist of the week. I'm extremely excited about their new album "The Ghetto Report Card". Cube 93 has been bumpin' "Tell Me When To Go" like forever. I'm ready for the Album.

I used "Quarter Backin'" from Breakin' News as the first song on my demo CD Summertime 2005 because of the sound of the intro of the song and it mixed in so well with "Just A Lil' Bit" by 50-Cent.

Lady Jane DJ's Favorite Artist of the Week

Lady Sovereign is this Seattle Hip Hop DJ's favorite artist of the week. I have been hearing about Lady Sov for months now and wonder when she's going to make her way to Seattle or to a cool Vancouver Canadian club. Lady Jane DJ would love to see her perform Random! This song has a great video.

Lady Sovereign very young and has already earned her way to being Jay-Z's favorite MC. How cool is that? It's just as cool as having proper punks as parents. What really turned me on to wanting to know more about Lady Sov is the fact that she grew up around Drum and Bass Music. That is the shit! Most parents clinch at the sound of DNB much less Bump It!

Lady Jane DJ can't wait to see Lady Sovereign in the NW or the SW. Her lyrics are the tightest I've heard by far and especially bangin with the accent! Lady Sovereign if you read this, its a breath of fresh air to have a coolio chic MC like you finally coming out. Also if you get the chance hook me up with one of those "Save the Hoodie" hoodies! I'll represent! HA HA Peace Out!

Lady Jane DJ's Favorite Artist of the Week

Kanye West is Lady Jane DJ's favorite Artist of the week. Kanye West is having His concerts in the West Coast though out the weekend of December 9th, 10th and 11th, 2005! He will be coming up though California, Oregon, Washington, and finally Vancouver Canada. Kanye is promoting his new album Late Registration, which features one of my favorite songs, "Gold Digga"!

Late Registration features skits of Millitary marching chants through out the album. The song that I like the most is "Diamonds" featuring Jay-Z. However, Kanye's album is a great collaboration all throughout. "Touch The Sky", "Drive Slow", and "Hey Mama" are some of the best in Lady Jane DJ's opinion.

I hope everyone got their ticket cause I know I did. Lady Jane DJ is getting her view of Kanye West from Vancouver Canada! Who would dare miss Jay-Z's protege? No me!

Lady Jane DJ's Favorite Artist of the Week.

Seattle Hip Hop DJ's favorite artist of the week is Chamillionaire! I first heard this groups latest song playing on the Radio while stuck in traffic in Texas. I have always liked the Dirty South Crunk and "Turn It Up" really has that type of feel. When I finally heard it in Seattle I was like YES!

Excerpt:"Chamillionaire & Paul Wall of The Color Changin' Click
Houston, TX
By Matt Sonzala

"What part of town are y'all from?

Both: Northwest Houston.

How'd y'all come together?...

...we got our own little group called the Color Changin' Click and that's as far as the mix tape goes and a group. That's me, Paul Wall, 50/50 Twin, and Lew Hawk. Us 4 make up the Color Changin' Click. On the side we might do a project with Michael Watts and it'll be the Color Changin' Click with Michael Watts.

Your album is really making noise out here.

Chamillionaire: The album is called Get Your Mind Correct. It's out on Paid In Full Records. That's actually who me and Paul Wall are signed to, Paid In Full Records, that's DJ Madd Hatta's Label. That's our CEO. It's me and Paul Wall doing our group thing. Showing that we can sell without doing a mixtape, on a real album.

Is this your first real album?..."

LJDJ's Favorite Artist of the Week

Three Six Mafia is this Seattle Hip Hop DJ's favorite artist of the week. Their new song "Stay Fly" is so sick. When I first heard it I paused like a kitten that hears birds singing for the first time, I was frozen. Lady Jane DJ and all her friends love it, too.

LJDJ's Favorite Artist of the Week

Lil' Kim is this Seattle Hip Hop DJ's favorite artist of the week. When I picked up The Naked Truth the other day I notice that Lil' Kim had a different look. She has always looked HOT but looks even better on the cover of her current album. The Naked Truth include influences from Biggie, LL Cool J and Eminem just to name a few.

Although Lil' kim will not be in the public's view for a while. She is in Lady Jane DJ's prayers.

LJDJ's Favorite Artist of the Week

Lady Jane DJ has always adored Jay-Z as an artist. His song "Can I Get a What", still gets me pumped and the crowd pumped everytime I drop it! This Seattle Hip Hop DJ feels that this article published by Fortune on Jay-Z is a must read for eveyone.

Excerpt: "America's Hippest CEO
Rapper and entrepreneur Jay-Z (a.k.a. Shawn Carter) brings his own style to the corner office at Def Jam.
By Nadira A. Hira

The fans are loving it. On a warm Sunday evening in June, one of hip-hops hottest stars, Kanye West, is spitting rhymes for 50,000 fans at Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. West is a bona fide superstar: three Grammys for his first album, millions in sales, a Time cover in the works. But all of a sudden, the crowd turns away from him. A single figure has run onto the stage, prompting such a deafening roar that West is forced to stop and join the adulation, leading the crowd in a chant of Hova! Hova! shorthand for J-Hova, the latest self-styled nickname of the rapper Jay-Z. Though West is the headliner, it is Jay-Z who steals the show.

The next morning at 9:30 a.m., at the Midtown Manhattan offices of Def Jam Recordings, which distributes Kanye Wests music, Jay-Zs weekend appearance is all the buzz. Two dozen staffers, gathered for their weekly meeting in the 28th-floor conference room, gossip about the god-worship. Yet when their boss strides in, fresh from his regular 8 a.m. briefing, he calmly rifles through the agenda-planning, budgets, promotional deals-ignoring the Giants Stadium frenzy. Which is a little odd, given that the boss is a man named Shawn Carter-better known as Jay-Z himself."

Mike Jones is this Seattle Hip Hop DJ's favorite artist of the week! Who? Mike Jones! Who? Mike Jones! I was so surprized to hear that his sexiness is still on an independent labal. You go Mike! LJDJ saw Mr. Jones at Summer Jam 2005 this past summer and he is a good performer. I remember, just getting up front of the stage when Mike Jones and his boys performed their first song. My favorites of his tracks is "Still Tippin". Lady Jane DJ can't wait to see Mike Jones again in concert.

Aaliyah is this Seattle Hip Hop DJ's favorite astist of the week. She has such heart warming music, sexiest videos, and coolest movie characters.

My favorites of her many songs are "Try Again", "Back and Forth", "If Your Girl Only Knew" and "One and a Million". Aaliyah's music always takes me back and keeps the crowd poppin' on the dance floor.

I Lady Jane DJ was especially excited when Aaliyah was featured in the movie "Queen of the Damed". The story was written by Ann Rice who is my childhood and alltime favorite. Aaliyah did an excellent job in this movie and made the sexiest vampire. I was very proud of her.

Today, September 25th marks the date of her death. Three years ago I got an unpleasant wake up call from a friend that I felt first in my throat, then right in my stomach. The amazing artist Aaliyah, never to be forgotten had past. I was in total shock about the situatuin. Although Aaliyah isn't with us anymore I'll always be feeling her music.

LJDJ's Favorite Hip Hop Artist of the Week

One of my current favorite artists is Amerie. Amerie really does have it all beauty, talent, her voice is breathtaking, and I personally love and respect the fact that she is from a military family. My favorite of her songs are "Talkin' About", "1 Thing", "All I Need", and "Come With Me".

When I first heard Amerie's new single "1 Thing" I immediately turned up the volume and groovin to the beat. This reminded me a bit of "Talkin' About". Both of these songs have beats that will have your body's rhythm going in twisted directions.

Her voice is like another instrument in her songs. Amerie is definitely in the first stages of her career. I am excited to see her grow.
